Margaret Emma Gravley Lawson of Austinville, VA, died Wednesday, July 7, 2010. She is much loved and leaves a huge void in the hearts of her family members.

Emma is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Gilbert Lawson. She has one son, Gary Lawson and his wife Melissa, of Hillsville, VA and one daughter, Wilma Clay of Virginia Beach, VA. She is survived by three granddaughters, Lisa Clay Arguello and her husband, Francisco, of Winston Salem, N.C., Sabrina Lawson Vaughn and her husband, Lonnie, of Austinville, VA, and Chastity Renee (C.R.) Lawson of Hillsville Va. She is survived by one grandson, Michael Clay of Radford, VA. There are five great grandchildren, Sarah and Julio Arguello, Josh and Justin Vaughn, and Alexis Grace Bowen.

Emma is predeceased by one son Robert David (R.D.) Lawson who was 4 years old when he died in 1948. She was the seventh of ten children and was the last surviving child of David and Rosa Gravley.

Visitation will be at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Funeral Chapel in Hillsville, VA between the hours of 9:30 and 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 10, 2010, and will be followed by the funeral at 11 AM. Burial will be in the Sharp Cemetery, located on Oak Grove Road.
