Margaret Martin Alderman, 86 of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Alderman was born in Carroll County, VA to the late Raleigh and Rhoda Early Martin. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Elmo Rush Alderman, Sr.; brothers James Martin, Edward Martin, Raleigh Martin, Jr., and Leon Martin; and sisters, Rhoda Ann Cruise, Elmira Quesinberry, Hattie Thompson, and Violet Edwards.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Mildred and Frank Weddle and Cynthia Dawn and Lonnie Anders; sons and daughter-in-law, Elmo Rush Alderman, Jr. and Robert Gail and Kathy Alderman; five grandchildren, Lonnie C. Anders, Jr., Laura Anders, Marie Phillips, Ginny Perez, and Autumn Fuller; seven great grandchildren, Kamden Phillips, Braden Anders, Grady Matthew Fuller, Daron Phillips, Marcus Phillips, Jaxon Phillips, and Naomi Anders; siblings and spouses, Bedford and Nora Alice Martin, Fred and Wilma Martin, L.D. Martin, and Frances Dalton; sister-in-law, Alice Alderman; and brother-in-law, Elwood Cruise.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Pastors Max Combs, Ernie Smith and Frank Weddle officiating. Burial will follow in the Alderman-Clontz Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 11, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
