Marcella B. Persson, 78 of Hillsville, passed away on, Monday, May 24, 2021 at her home.  Mrs. Persson was born in Illinois to the late Steve and Catherine Szczesny.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Maynard Persson.

Survivors include her daughters, Paula Turman and Janice House; grandchildren, David Ayers, Marcy Ayers, Catherine Ayers, Jackie Joaquin, and Marty House; and great-grandchildren, Elena Joaquin, Michael Joaquin, Gabrielle Taylor, and Dominick Hall.

A memorial service will be held at the Hillsville Pentecostal Holiness Church at a later date with Pastor Jeff Pickett officiating.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
