Mamie Banks, 90, formerly of Hillsville, died on February 12, 2009. Mrs. Banks was the daughter of the late Monty and Minnie Dalton. She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law Clayton & Martha Banks of Memphis, TN; daughters & sons-in-law Nancy & Daniel Beeson of Pilot Mt., NC and Fran & Mark Hollingsworth of Lewisville, NC; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and one sister Myrtle Gardner of Michigan. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Banks was preceded in death by her husband Coy Banks; one brother Gernon Dalton and an infant son Billie Ray.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Elder Lewis Vass officiating. Burial will follow in the Heath Banks Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the New Fellowship Baptist Church in c/o Theoa Nester 57 Bittersweet Lane Woodlawn, VA 24381.
