Maggie Marie Cochran Shockley, 97 of Hillsville, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at Heritage Hall Laurel Meadows. Mrs. Shockley was born in Carroll County to the late Norm & Sybilla Dickerson Cochran. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Everett Shockley; son J.B. Shockley; and siblings Lester, Clarence, Pose and Tom Cochran, and Ellen Cochran Howlett and Stella Cochran Howlett. She is survived by her sons & daughter-in-law Dennie & Katie Shockley and Ernie Shockley all of Hillsville; daughter-in-law Peggy Shockley of Pearisburg; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Dalton Hill Christian Church at 11:00 AM with Pastor Keith Hommema officiating. Burial will follow in the Dalton Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral services.
