Mae Easter Stoneman, 94, of Austinville, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Trinity Mission of Hillsville. Mrs. Stoneman was born in Virginia to the late Walter and Cora Cochran Easter. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm Stoneman and six brothers and sisters. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Malcolm Ronald and Kristin Stoneman of Wilmington, NC; daughter, Diane Stoneman Moore of Austinville; grandchildren, Ronald Stoneman, Kenneth Stoneman, Tony Moore, Melanie Sherida, Jamie Moore-Waugh, and Melissa Stoneman; eight great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and several caring nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Pleasant View Church at 2:00 PM with Pastor Ricky Alexander and Pastor Tracy Alley officiating. Burial will follow in the Pickett Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 12:30 until 2:00 PM, prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
