Macie Maxine Marshall, 92 of Dugspur, passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at Heritage Hall-Laurel Meadows. Mrs. Marshall was born in Carroll County to the late Howard & Mattie Phillips. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Eddie Albert Marshall; two sons Billy Gene Marshall and Edwin Arnold Marshall; two brothers Arnold Phillips and Arvin Phillips; and a sister Elrica Hundley. Survivors include sons & daughter-in-law Glenn & Phyllis Marshall of Dugspur and Connie L. Marshall of Christiansburg; sister Alphalene Walker of Danville, VA; four grandchildren; and three special great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Elmon Thompson and Rev. Vinton Quesenberry officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 8, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
