Lyndon Isaiah Largen, 44 of Fancy Gap, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Lyndon was born May 10, 1971 in Mount Airy, NC. He was preceded in death by his father, Isaiah Largen; brother, Allen Largen; sister, Sue Goad; and his beloved grandparents. Survivors include his wife, Phoebe M. Largen of the home; mother, Mary Largen Smith of Fancy Gap; brother and sister-in-law, John and Melissa Nester of Mechanicsville, VA; father-in-law and spouse, Dan and Carol Ward of New Braunfels, TX; mother-in-law and spouse, Charlene and Graham Cooper of Bastian; brother-in-law, Marvin Lenford Goad of Dugspur; sister-in-law and spouse, Wendi and Allen Goad of Hillsville; brothers-in-law and spouses, Joseph and Jessi Ward of Nacogdochess, TX and Ben and Lauren Ward of New Braunfels, TX; and several other family and friends. Lyndon was a career rooster cruising red-neck truck driver. He was a loyal, hardworking, fun loving Man of God with a passion for Harleys and hotrods. His life was a testimony in that while he did not have any children of his own, he was a father to many. Lyndon was a very rare jewel in the rough who always showed the world honesty, a passion for life and a dear love for his wife, mother, and furry companion, Calli. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jeff Pickett, Rev. Scott Flippin, and Terry Simone officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain Plains Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, July 19, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
