Lula M. Lewis 80, of Hillsville, passed away on Monday, February 08, 2010 at Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband Foy James Lewis; parents Flurnoy & Eliza Goad; grandson Brandi Hawks. She is survived by two daughters & son-in-law Barbara A. & Bentley Parish and Betty L. & Fianc Billy Bray all of Mt. Airy, NC; two sons & daughter-in-law Robert Lewis and Bernard & Tammy Lewis all of Hillsville; sister Freda Martin of Hillsville; seven grandchildren Jamie Hawks, Courtney Hawks, Stacey Bullion, Shannon Ruiz, Alvino Bautista, Alex Lewis, and Mikaela Lewis; eleven great grandchildren Dylan Smith, Amy Hawks, Brett Hawks, Paige Hawks, Chevelle Simone, Billy Carrico, Dakota Bullion, Susan Ruiz, Jessica Ruiz, Rigo Ruiz, and Alysia Ruiz; two great great grandchildren Leyla Chavez, and Brayden Hawks.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Elder David Komoda and Rev. Norman Goad officiating. Burial will follow in the Isaac Banks Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 09, 2010 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
