Lucille G. Durnil, 88, of Hillsville, passed away on Friday, June 8, 2012 at Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Durnil; parents, Calvin and Bertha Quesenberry Gardner. She is survived by her son and daughter in-law, Larry Ray and Debra Durnil of Hillsville; brother Otis Gardner of Hillsville; two grandchildren and spouses, Mike and Kristina Durnil, and Jenny and David Dunford; four great grandchildren, Cheyenne Durnil, Kendra Durnil, Ariyanna Durnil, and Sierra Dunford; one great great grandson Brayden Stevens. Graveside service with burial to follow will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Branscome Cemetery with Rev. R.J. Buttery officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, June 10, 2012 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
