Lowell Thomas Bowman, Sr., 71 of Laurel Fork, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Bowman was born to the late Thomas Franklin and Clara Farris Bowman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Garner F. Bowman. He is survived by his wife Frances Diane Bowman of the home; children & spouses Pamela B. & Ricky D. Turman of Laurel Fork, Lowell Jr. & Kelly Bowman of Laurel Fork, Daniel F. Bowman & Tina Findish of Laurel Fork, Evelyn & Dewayne Richardson of Fancy Gap, and Thomas Franklin & Cynthia Bowman of Laurel Fork; brothers & sisters-in-law Mason & Georgia Bowman of Laurel Fork and Lacy & Drema Bowman of Hillsville; sisters & brothers-in-law Marie & Carl Stevens of Ararat and Kathleen & Raymond Sutphin of Laurel Fork; twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Worrell Memorial Church on Thursday, November 27, 2008 at 2:00 PM with Elder Gleason Worrell, Elder Tim McGrady and Elder Ronald Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in the Worrell Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
