Louise Bays Myers, 96 of Austinville, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2009 at Twin County Regional Hospital. She was born July 25, 1912, in Carroll County to Raleigh and Cora Bays. She was preceded in death by her husband Harrison Currell Myers; sons-in-law, Ronald H. Thompson and Buford W. Newman; and niece Shirley Martin. She is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law, Olene Thompson, Ollie Newman, Juanita Stone, Bonnie & Ray Burnette, all of Austinville, and Frances & William Mabe, Jr. of Max Meadows; one half brother, Chester Bays; five special nieces and nephews, Vernon Myers of Collinsville, Dorse Myers of Ridgeway, Barbara Surratt of Radford, Betty Parnell and Jack Myers of Collinsville; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; fourteen great-great grandchildren; sisters-in-law Mildred White, Helen Brash, and Maggie White; and one brother-in-law & spouse Harold & Alene Myers.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Ty Harrison, Rev. Ronnie Collins and Pastor Neil Eidson officiating. Burial will follow in the Myers Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, March 16, 2009 from 7:00 until 9:00 PM and on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until service time.
