Louetta Elaine Young, 77 of Mount Airy, NC, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024 at Northern Regional Hospital.  Mrs. Young was born in Carroll County to the late Albert Ross and Ruth Olive Webb White.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Maxie Leon Young; grandson, Gregory Quesenberry; and brothers, Marvin White and Thornton White.

Survivors include her children, Kimberly Johnson (Mike) of Mount Airy, Michele Mundy (Scott Sands) of Hillsville; Shannon Lindsey (Ronnie) of Hillsville; sister, Lena Dalton; brother, Sylvan White; grandson, Alex Young; granddaughter Jordan Gravley (Chris); great-granddaughter, Layla Gravley; great-grandsons, Aythen Young and Jaxon Gravley; step-great-granddaughter, Kaylee Gravley; and several nieces, nephews and cousins

Graveside services with burial following will be held on Monday, February 5, 2024 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Mike Bond officiating at the White Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Monday after the graveside service.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
