Loretta C. Worrell, 68, passed away on August 29, 2010 at her home in Woodlawn, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents Corda and Charlie Cox, two brothers Claude Cox and Ray Cox. She is survived by her husband Glenn Wood Worrell of the home. They were married for 50 years. Surviving also, a daughter Teresa Keyes and husband Freddie of Hillsville, a son Kevin Worrell and wife Melissa of Mt. Airy, NC. Also surviving are three grandchildren Jamie Whitaker, Casey O'Bryan, and Kari O'Bryan; three step grandchildren; three great grandsons; one step great grandson; four brothers & sisters-in-law Glen Cox of GA, Boyd Lee Cox of SC, Charles R. Jr. & Pearl Cox of SC, and Wayne & Susan Cox of Max Meadows; four sisters & brother-in-law Beatrice Lineberry of Washington D.C. Golda Glasgow of Max Meadows, Ethel McGrady of Galax and Audene (Tootsie) & Don Bogart of Galax; and several nieces & nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Funeral Home in Hillsville. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 11:00 at the funeral home with Rev. John Ousley and Rev. David Cox officiating. Burial will be at Bethany Cemetery in Austinville, VA.
