Loretta Nester McMillian, 64, of Hillsville, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center. Born in Carroll County on March 14, 1949, Loretta was preceded in death by her father, Bryan Hylton Webb Nester, mother, Glorene Mae Nester Cole; sister, Carol Myers, and step father, Lonnie Cole. Survivors include her son, Adam McMillian of Patrick County; step mother, Lossie Nester; grandchildren, Amelia McMillian and William McMillian; brothers, Tim Nester of Laurel Fork, C.B. Cole of Florida, Clinton Cole of Hillsville, and Terry Cole of Hillsville; and aunt and uncle, Glendon and Melvin Webb of Hillsville. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 1:30 PM with Pastor Ron Kronk officiating. Burial will follow in the Aaron Nester Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 12:30 until 1:30 PM, prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
