Lorene Largen Bowman, 82, of Hillsville passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Haywood Nash Bowman; parents, Edgar and Mattie Weddle Largen. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Diane B. and Michael L. Wood of Mt. Airy, NC; two granddaughters. Catherine E. Wood and Cynthia L. Wood. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 12:00 PM at Rome Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Terry McMillian officiating. Burial will follow in the Weddle Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 29, 2013 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. at Rome Missionary Baptist Church. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the Bowman family.
