Loranize Delbert Martin, 79 of Galax, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022 at Waddell Nursing and Rehab. Mr. Martin was born in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Raleigh and Rhoda Martin.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Melodie and Michael Strickland; siblings, Mary Francis Dalton, Bedford Martin, and Fred Martin; grandchildren, Shane Carper, Cody Strickland, and Grace Strickland; great-grandchildren, Preston Jobe and Winston Carper; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service with burial following will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at the Isaac Banks Cemetery with Pastor Jo Ann Bunn officiating. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Saturday from 12:30 until 1:30 prior to the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
