Lonnie B. Robinson, 87, of Hillsville, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at his home. Mr. Robinson was born in Carroll County, VA to the late Ellis Blaine and Edna Henrietta Lineberry Robinson. He is survived by his wife Pauline Webb Robinson of the home; daughters and sons-in-law Janet and Jim Dorsett of Mount Airy, NC and Jean and Robert Winfrey of Winston Salem, NC; brother and sister-in-law Hawthorne and Veda Robinson; grandsons & spouse Parker and Susanna Stevens of Wilmington, NC and Lee Stevens of Kure Beach, NC; great granddaughter Isabella Stevens; two step grandchildren and spouse Jason and Angel Dorsett of Mount Airy, NC and Cindy Dorsett of Charlotte, NC; three step great grandchildren Christopher, Evan, and Elizabeth; several nieces and nephews; and special friend Pierce Collins.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 21, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Fairview Presbyterian Church with Rev. Ronald Kronk officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery. Masonic Rites will be conducted by the Hillsville Lodge #193 AF & AM and Military Rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the funeral service.
