Lonnie Lee McCraw, 76, of Galax, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. McCraw was born in Carroll County to the late William Robert and Sarah Leila Burcham McCraw.

Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Robbie and Debbie McCraw of Galax and Doug and Cindy McCraw of East Bend; brother and sister-in-law, Donnie and Carlene McCraw of Galax; sisters, Alene Nester of Galax and Ollie Mae Jones of Blacksburg; and grandchildren, Mandi McCraw, Drew McCraw, Will McCraw, and Hayden McCraw.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 22,2 016 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Elder Eddie Bunn and Rev. Ray Bolen officiating. Burial will follow in Independence Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Grover King Post 1115. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 21, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Susan G. Komen P.O.
