Lonnie Dale Marshall, 62, of Marion, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at his home. Mr. Marshall was preceded in death by his father, James Eugene Marshall. Survivors include his fiancé, Lesia Henley of Marion; step sons, Shawn Henley and Anthony Henley, both of Marion; mother and step father, Gracie and Early Vipperman of Ararat, VA;; brothers and sisters-in-law, Randy Darrell and Margaret Marshall of Mt. Airy, NC and Leslie Dwight and Teena Marshall of Pilot Mtn. NC; one nephew and several nieces. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Brother Lance Turner and Pastor Robyn Turner officiating. Burial will follow in the Dry Pond Cemetery in Hiwassee. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, December 28, 2013 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
