Lonnie Carl Lindsey, 84 of Hillsville, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026 at the SECU Hospice Care Center in Yadkinville, NC.  Mr. Lindsey was born in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Carl and Edna Henley Lindsey.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Marcus Lindsey; a stepdaughter, Anita Edwards; and siblings, James Lindsey, Sammy Lindsey, Roger Lindsey, Maxine Quesenberry, Darlene Quesenberry, and Bobby Lindsey.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Ima Guynn Lindsey of the home; children, Dena Lindsey of Mt. Airy, Jeffery Lindsey (Sherry) of Cana, and Teresa Rotenizer (Mark) of Mt. Airy; daughter-in-law, Linda Jenkins Lindsey of Hillsville; step-children, Harold Hall (Lisa) of Hillsville, Tony Hall (Ellen) of Hillsville, Mary Lowe (Mike) of Fancy Gap, and Darlene Sumner (Ben) of Maine; stepson-in-law, Donnie Edwards; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; twelve step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Rev. Tim Hawks officiating.  Burial will follow in the Independence Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
