Lola K. Horton, 77 of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at her home. Mrs. Horton was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Horton. Survivors include son & daughter-in-law Daymon L. & Darlene Horton of Hillsville; daughter & son-in-law Bobbietta & Tommy Martin of Hillsville; brother & sister-in-law Avery & Georgia Lewis of Indiana; sisters Azalea Dalton of Indiana and Estes Leftwich of Hillsville; six grandchildren Brandon Horton, Bart Horton, Jennifer Horton, Melissa Horton, Clarissa Chappell and Fara Carson; and great grandchildren Jeremiah Showalter, Lucas Showalter, and Colton Chappell.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Rev. Wendell Horton officiating. Burial will follow in the Horton Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, July 22, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Twin County Hospice P.O. 106 Galax, VA 24333.
