Lois Alderman, 91, of Hillsville, left this world just in time to spend Valentine's Day with her sweet heart Delmar. Lois was born November 30, 1926 in Carroll County to the late Wilkenson and Alice Moles Spence. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, Freddie Ray; six brothers, Harold, Falus, Ewell, Claude, Silas and Paul; and five sisters, Larmie, Reva, Hattie, Cova, and Virginia.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Sondra Alderman of Hillsville; daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Steve Quesenberry of Indian Valley; three grandsons, Kirk, Freddie, and Chris Alderman; two granddaughters, Tammy Goad and Jessica Bishop; six great-grandchildren, Emma Bishop, Taylor and Dylan Goad, and Jacob, Cy, and Jackson Alderman; great-great-granddaughter, Hazel Goad; and two step-grandchildren, Adrian Michael and Cheryl Michael; and step-great-grandson, Jaxon Strack.

Lois was a homemaker who loved her coffee and her flowers.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Nathan Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in the Webb Cemetery in Meadows of Dan. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
