Loetta W. Nester, 80 of Max Meadows, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at her home.  Mrs. Nester was born in Wythe County to the late Rudolph Howell and Alda Genora Williams.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Collin Ray Nester and a brother Edwin Williams.

Her passions in life were her family, gardening and sewing.  She also loved watching Days of Our Lives.

Survivors include her children, Terry Nester (Missy), Timothy Nester (Danny Ogle), Stephen Nester (Jackie), and Tammy Peak (Steven); grandchildren, Brittney, Josh, Logan, Lucas, Cody and Jess; step-grandchildren, Whitney, Mitchell, James, and Cole; eight great-grandchildren; special friends, Sandra and Melissa; and beloved nieces and nephew, Debbie, Anita, and Eddie.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Pickett officiating.  Burial will follow in the Little Vine Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
