Lloyd Thomas Alexander, 74, of Max Meadows, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Golden Living Center in Galax. Mr. Alexander was born in Carroll County to the late Sterling Joseph and Cora Elizabeth Hanks Alexander. He is survived by his sisters Goldie Payne and Emma G. Crockett both of Galax; brothers and sisters-in-law Joseph R. and Mildred Alexander of Rural Retreat and Layman L. and Charlotte Alexander of Hiwassee; several nieces and nephews; and a special nephew Ricky Alexander of Woodlawn. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Pickett Chapel Church with Rev. Tony Hodge and Rev. Eddie Dalton officiating. Burial will follow in the Alexander Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
