Lisa Jo Rigney, 59 of Fancy Gap, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026 at her home.  Lisa was born in Wythe County, Virginia to the late Robert Richard and Cliffie Lee Farmer Viars.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Wyatt Rigney; brother, Junior Robert Viars; and nephew, Bradley Viars.

Survivors include her brother, Timothy Edwards Viars (Sandy); nephews, Gary Viars and Jeff Viars (Julie); niece, Kristie Armbrister; special caregiver, Sherry Lyons; and many special friends.

A graveside service with burial following will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Rigney-Tate Cemetery in Fancy Gap with Pastors Linda Mosqueda and Ritchie Harris officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
