Lisa Karen Bolen Cheeks, 54 of Hillsville, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at Atrium Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.  Mrs. Cheeks was born in Radford, Virginia on February 1, 1971.  She was preceded in death by her father, Jackie D. Bolen; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bayes and Geniva Cheeks; grandparents, Garfield and Imo Bolen and Jerry and Laeula Frazier; uncles, Virgil Bolen, Don Frazier, Jerry Shank, and Garnett Burris; and special fur-baby, Cooper.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald Cheeks; mother, Christine Frazier Bolen; uncles and aunts, Jerry Lee and Phyllis Frazier, Mary Shank, Aunt Thelma, Ray and Irene Bolen, E.G. and Linda Bolen, Curtis and Jean Bolen, and Mike and Beverly Clontz; special cousins, Greg Shank, Amy Shank Beatty, and Mike Bolen; and a host of other cousins.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 7:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Ray Bolen officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM prior to the funeral service. A graveside service with burial will be in the Farmer Cemetery on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 11:00 AM.  Flowers are appreciated; however, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation Gift Processing at National Kidney Foundation HQ, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016 or www.kidney.org .
