Linwood Ray Dickerson, Sr.

Linwood Ray Dickerson, Sr. 79 of Hillsville, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2026 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mr. Dickerson was born in Vance County, NC to the late George Washington and Daisy Rene Mosley Dickerson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers, Thurston Dickerson, Charlie Dickerson, Thomas Dickerson, and Kenneth Dickerson.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Mae Dickerson; daughters, Sammantha Wert (Travis) and Kimberly Rutledge (Mark); sons, Linwood Dickerson, Jr. and Robin Len Dickerson; sisters, Ruby Ezzel and Allene Catlett; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

There will be no services at this time. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
