Bernard Goad
April 14, 1931 – February 8, 2017
Linvol "Judge" Goad, 85 of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born in Carroll County on April 14, 1931 to the late Lula and Wash Goad. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers and sisters and their spouses, Noel and Ada Goad, Cecil and Imogene Goad, Early Goad, Myrtle and Clain Martin, Mellie and Earnest Martin, Helen and Edgar Webb, and Barney and Inez Goad.
Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and Alice Goad of Radford; many nieces and nephews; and special friends Adel and Virgil Largen.
Mr. Goad was a Veteran of the United States Army. He served his country during the Korean Conflict.
The family would like express a special thank you to the nurses and doctors at Twin County Regional Hospital and at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for their excellent care.
A private graveside service will be held on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Goad Family Cemetery. Rev. Sandy Hendrick will be officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Grover King Post 1115. There will be no visitation. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
