Lila V. Branscome, of Woodbridge, Virginia left a wonderful and well lived life on December 6, 2023 with her loving daughter Kathy by her side.

Lila was born Lila Victoria Brady on April 3, 1932 in Carroll County Virginia.  On November 18, 1950 Lila married the love of her life Julius L. Branscome and spent the next 73 years enjoying being with her husband and family.

Lila helped support and worked with Julius as he started in the road building and asphalt business all while being a devoted mother.

She was a charter member of Central Baptist Church in Woodbridge for over 60 years.  Lila spent over 20 years teaching Sunday School to sixth, seventh and eighth grade girls.  She had a positive and profound impact on the many young lives she touched.  Central Baptist Church became a part of her extended family.  She developed many friendships with the other ladies that lasted a true lifetime; with one of her friends calling her a treasure.

She truly was a treasure to Julius and her family and all those who knew her.

Lila is survived by her daughter Kathy Bowman (Wilson), son David Branscome (Pati), and her 7 grandchildren, Jamie Bowman, Vickie Lowry, David Branscome, Jr. (Shalia), Rachael Murphy (JC), Cory Branscome (Sabrina), Brent Branscome (Rachel), Brandi Nadeau (Matt), and 15 cherished great grandchildren, and her 3 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Lila were her devoted husband of 73 years, Julius Branscome, her son Tommy Branscome, her parents, Thomas Sears Brady and Fannie Lillian Quesenberry Brady, her sister Lorraine Nicely and her brothers Melvin, Arlis, Howard, Donald and Verlyn Brady.

Lila's life will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 with a viewing from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm and a funeral service immediately following at:  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel, 1035 North Main Street, Hillsville, VA 24343 with burial afterwards.
