Lester Roosevelt Burcham, 95, of Patrick Springs, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2015 at Heritage Hall Laurel Meadows. Mr. Burcham was born in Carroll County to the late Henry MacGarvey Burcham and Lizzie Lee Sumner Burcham. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Pearl Burcham; six brothers; and two sisters. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Lonnie and Faye Burcham of Hillsville and C. Elden and Katherine Burcham of Fancy Gap; daughters, Alma Goins of Denton, NC and Elizabeth Hall of Hillsville; seventeen grandchildren; several step grandchildren; and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Elder Edward Bowman, Rev. Bruce Burcham, and Rev. Rick Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, January 10, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady is serving the family.
