Leota Irene Edwards, 84 of Austinville, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Edwards was born in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Samuel and Mabel Carter Bryant. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Joshua Edwards.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Mark Hopkins of Gainesville, VA and grandchildren, Kevin Hopkins and Kimberly Johns.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Coulson Church of the Brethren with Pastor Hal Sonafrank officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Coulson Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM, prior to the memorial service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
