Elder Leonard Lee Marshall "Willie", 73 of Woodlawn, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021 at his home. Mr. Marshall was born in Carroll County on August 14, 1948. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Marshall.

Leonard was dedicated to his family. He also served the Lord as pastor at Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church. Mr. Marshall was an Army Veteran and proudly served his country.

Survivors include his loving wife, Shirley C. Marshall; children, Kristie Marshall Day and Kevin Marshall and wife, Ginger; mother, Ila M. Lineberry Marshall; brothers, James Maynard Marshall, Douglas Marshall and wife, Juanita, and Clayton Marshall; grandchildren, Daniel Wingate, Natalie Marshall, and Olivia Marshall; several nieces and nephews; and special nephew, Cameron Cruise.

A graveside service with burial following will be held on Monday, December 27, 2021 at the Melton Cemetery on Mt. Zion Road at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Pickett officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Grover King Post 1115. The family will receive friends at the cemetery on Monday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the graveside service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
