Laverne Alderman, 63 of Galax, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Woltz Hospice House in Dobson.  Mrs. Alderman was born in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Conard and Ima Boyd Horton.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Norman Alderman; and brother, Dennis Horton.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Montana and Randall Hall; sister, Connie Quesenberry; grandchildren, Conard Hall, Colten Hall, and Layla Hall; and special family member, Melanie Burcham.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
