Laural Leigh Botschen, of Fancy Gap, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 24, 2019. She is preceded in death by her father, Jay A. Botschen and her sister Robin E. Botschen-Holzheimer. She is survived by her mother, Evelyn Hawks Botschen and her "girls" Hilary Botschen, Giselle Ingram (Jonathan), and Olivia Zoe Yianopolous and her grandsons Sonny, Gabe, Jack, and Nino. She also leaves behind her sister Sharon Botschen Smart (Ben) and her brother Kim Lu (Betty) and niece and nephews Thor, Nola, Benjamin, and Roosevelt.

Laural loved to travel, but called Fancy Gap her home. She was an amazing cook and followed that passion into a career in food service, where she managed many restaurants and ran a catering company. It was with great joy that she spent the last few years of her life caring for her parents, and watching her grandsons grow. Her grandsons referred to her as Lala, and upon reading this will discover she is actually grandma.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Fancy Gap United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM with Pastor Kaye Seay officiating. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Friday, November 29, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
