Lathan Tobler, 86 of Laurel Fork, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. Mr. Tobler was born in Hillsville to the late Harless and Hassie Nester Tobler. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Violet Tobler; second wife, Norma Tobler; and son, Steve Tobler.

Survivors include his daughters and son-in-law, Hassie Cummings of Laurel Fork, Hazel and Garry Giles of Jacksonville, FL, and Linda Largen of Laurel Fork; son and daughter-in-law, Harless and Irene Tobler of Hillsville; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Chris Burnette officiating. Burial will follow in the Marshall Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
