Lassie Hollinsworth Hylton, 93 of Sylvatus, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017 on what have been her and Troy's 76th wedding anniversary. Mrs. Hylton was born in Floyd County and was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Lettie Hollinsworth Sutphin and Charlie Sutphin. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Troy Hylton; brothers, Lincoln Sutphin and Benny Sutphin; and brother-in-law, Victor Simpkins.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Jim Whitt of Pulaski; sister, Vasie Simpkins of Indian Valley; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 12:00 PM with Pastor Barry Coffery officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
