Obituary

Larry Allen Pickett, 74 of Austinville, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family.  Mr. Pickett was born in Northfork, WV to the late Charles and Bonnie Burnette Pickett.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by siblings, Wayne Pickett, Terri Pickett Marshall, and Danny Pickett; and brother-in-law, Herman Brinkley.

Larry was a veteran of the US Army.  He was a member of Skyview Missionary Baptist Church

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Linda Rotenizer Pickett; daughter, Heather (Mitchell) Snow; son, Josh (LeAnn) Pickett; grandchildren, Hannah (Cory) Frazier, Caleb Hill, Hudson Pickett, Logan Pickett, Meaghan Snow, and Morgan Snow; great-granddaughter, Andi Frazier; siblings, Sandra Brinkley, Joe (Debbie) Pickett, Dusty (Malette) Pickett, Robin Bond, Jeff (Tammy) Pickett, and Lisa (Jerry) Lawson; sisters-in-law, Janice R. Pickett and Kim Pickett; brother-in-law, Roger (Rita) Rotenizer; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service with burial will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at the Quesinberry-Bobbitt Cemetery at 11:00 AM with Pastors Wendell Horton, Gary Horton and Jeff Pickett officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Skyview Missionary Baptist Church or Hillsville Pentecostal Holiness Church.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
