Larry Edward Nester, 68, of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. Mr. Nester was born in Carroll County to the late Edgar Delton and Sylvia Leigh Cox Nester. In addition to his parents, Mr. Nester was preceded in death by his son, James Allen Stone and his niece, Lisa Jeannine Parnell. Survivors include his sisters and brother-in-law, Laura Jean (Jeannie) Holcomb of Hillsville and Sharon Leigh and Vic Swaim of Fancy Gap. A graveside service with burial will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Family Cemetery on Pine Branch Road in Laurel Fork with Vic Swaim officiating. The public may visit at the funeral home on Friday, March 6, 2015 from 4:00 until 6:00 PM. The family will be gathering at Jeannie's house. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Woltz Hospice Home 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
