Larry Leon Bennett, 72 of Hillsville passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Wheatland Hills Retirement Center in Hillsville, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Seitz Bennett; parents, Leon and Margaret Patrick Bennett. Survivors include his daughter, Shawn Kimble of Laurel Fork; son, Marc Bennett of New Jersey; two sisters, Diane Wetzel of Pittsfield, Mass. and Barbara Titus of Ocean City, NJ; three grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. A Memorial service will be held on Monday, December 30, 2013 at 6:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Michael Shockley officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, December 30, 2013 from 5:00 PM until service time. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
