Obituary

L. Maynard Marshall, 86 of Dugspur, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mr. Marshall was born in Carroll County to the late Peter Early and Eula Mae Weddle Marshall. In addition to his parents, Mr. Marshall was also preceded in death by his wife, Rubye Horton Marshall and siblings, Idell, Opal, Arvil, Clifford, and Dayton.

Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Zane and Sandra Marshall of Fancy Gap and Joe and Marina Marshall of Wytheville; sister, Louise Dalton of Hillsville; grandchildren and spouses, Travis and Tonya Marshall, Melissa and Rob Pack, Aaron and Shay Marshall, Kayla and Matthew Beamer, Adam and Sheena Marshall and Tanner Marshall; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 8:00 PM with Rev. Wendell Horton officiating. A private burial will be held on in the Floyd Webb Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
