Kermit Jennings, 69 of Hillsville, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Jennings was preceded in death by his parents Fannie & Sidney Jennings and brothers Cledias Jennings and Teddy Jennings. He is survived by his sisters & brother-in-law Susie Jennings of Hillsville and Ina Mae Doll & Clinton Horton of Hillsville; brothers & sister-in-law Johnny Hicks of Hillsville and Walter & Joyce Jennings of Salem, VA; nieces Linda Horton of Hillsville, Mildred Horton of Hillsville, Kay Warner Andis of Beckley, WV, and Bessie Shinualt & Family of Galax; nephews & spouses James & Debbie Horton of Galax; Virgil & Rhonda Horton of Floyd and Ethan & Kacie Horton of Floyd; special friends Bill & Evelyn Burbridge and James Goad and many friends at the Galax Clubhouse that will miss him.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Rev. Ted Bartlett, Rev. Norman Goad and Rev. Chris Carlisle officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until 3:00 and from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday, June 27, 2008.
