Kenny Haskell Sharpe, Jr., 77 of Hillsville, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mr. Sharpe was born in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Kenny H. and Ruby Harriman Sharpe. He was preceded in death by his adopted parents, Ethel and Everette Young and his wife, Frances Irene Willard Sharpe.

Kenny served as chief of the Town of Hillsville Police Department for many years. Survivors include his son, Stuart Sharpe of Wytheville; brother, Robert Dale Sharpe and wife, Ann of Max Meadows; sister, Carol D. White and husband, Thomas of Ocala, FL; and special friend, Ruth Alderman.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Rick Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilkinson Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
