Kenneth Eugene Shockley, 71, of Hillsville passed away on Friday, February 27, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Dyer and Nell Shockley; sister, Christine Hall. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Joyce Shockley of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Heather Shockley of Hillsville; two grandchildren, Nevaeh Shockley and Noah Shockley; three sisters-in-law and spouses and two brothers-in-law and spouses. Several nieces and nephews also survive, as well as numerous friends and his church family. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 2, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Dalton Hill Christian Church with Pastor Jason Simpkins and Pastor James Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in Felts Cemetery in Galax. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Sunday, March 1, 2015 from 6 to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Dalton Hill Christian Church, P.O. Box 790 Hillsville, VA 24343. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the Shockley family.
