Kenneth Delano Bobbitt, 74 of Hillsville passed away on Monday, September 28, 2015. Mr. Bobbitt was born in Portsmouth, VA to the late Charles and Gertrude Walk Bobbitt. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth D. Bobbitt and Chester L. Bobbitt; five brothers; and one sister. Survivors include his children, Mark A. Bobbitt of Hillsville, Bridgette M. Brewer of Fries, Merle A. Bobbitt of North Dakota, Kimberly A. Bobbitt of Indiana, Melissa Croucher of Indiana, Adam Bobbitt of West Virginia, and Ricky Unley of Michigan; brothers, Charles Bobbitt of Hillsville, Joe Bobbitt of Michigan, David M. Bobbitt of Florida, Don Bobbitt of Michigan, and Randell Bobbitt of Hillsville; sisters, Helen Bobbitt of Michigan, Sue E. Hamm of North Carolina, and Ann Shaffner of Fries; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Monta Vista Memory Gardens. Military rites will be conducted by the Grover King Post 1115 V.F.W. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 2, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
