Keith James Wells, 68 of Dugspur, passed away on June 15, 2023 at his lifelong home. Keith was born in Washington, DC on December 9, 1954.

He was a compassionate nurse who dedicated his life to caring and serving his community. Keith had a profound love for animals, especially his own who he affectionately referred to as "my monsters".

Keith was a wonderful brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Survivors include his brother, Chris Wells (Teresa); brother-in-law, Raymond Shaw (Michelle); nieces and nephews, Nick Shaw (Lindsay), Vicki Greenfield (Justin), Dani Patterson (Walker), Jordan Wells, and Tyler Wells (Kristen); nine great nieces and great nephews; and special friends, John, Debbie and Matthew Wells and Rhonda Goad.

He will be deeply missed by all that knew him. We take comfort in knowing that he is at peace and reunited with his mother, Lelah Huff Wells and his sister, Catherine Wells Shaw, who preceded him in death.

A memorial service will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Woodlawn, VA on Thursday, June 22, 2023. Visitation between 11:00am - 12:00pm.  Mass service will be at 12:00pm. Reception to follow.
