Katie Dalton, 70 of Hillsville, passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Bon Secures Hospice Home in the Bon Secours Hospice Home in North Chesterfield. Mrs. Dalton was born in Floyd County, Virginia to the late Herman Hite and Beulah Edna Simmons Martin. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Dalton; two sisters; and three brothers.

Survivors include her husband, Clarence Dalton, Jr.; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Steve Ziglar; son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Kacey Dalton; grandchildren, Casey Jones, Kelsey Jones, Carlie Dalton, Landon Dalton, Zoey Dalton, Natalie Dalton, JoAnna Dalton, and Rileigh Dalton; and brother and sister-in-law, Nelson and Bonnie Martin.

A graveside service with burial will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Monta Vista Memory Gardens at 2:00 PM with Pastor Charlie Hubbard officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery on Thursday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
