Kathleen Amy Gibson, 76 of Hillsville, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at her home.  Kathleen was born in Malone, NY on October 11, 1948.  She was preceded in death by her father, Herman Gibson; mother, Dolores Estes Hutchinson; daughter, Dena Shadwick; siblings, David Gibson, Darrel Gibson, and Doreen Cray; nephew, David, and niece Rachael.

Ms. Gibson served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran.  She also proudly served with the customs border patrol for 20 years. Kathleen loved her family very deeply and will be missed by all who knew her. She was a great patriot of her country.

Survivors include her sons, Richard Gagnon (Nicole) and Kirk Gagnon (Heather); grandchildren, Andrew Gagnon (Addie), Ethan Gagnon (Megan), Madison Gagnon, Hadley Gagnon, Shawnee Greenia (Cody), Sharon Colwell (Jeremey), Robbie Greenia (Riley), Christopher Gagnon, Sofie Peterson, Emma McCollum (Tyler), and Shay Shadwick; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, John Gibson (Yu), Bill Hutchinson, Gaileen Watson (Steve), and Maureen Underhill;  and nieces and nephews, Rebecca, Alexis, Savanna, Kelly, Frank, Emily, Krystal, Mathew, William, Kaycee, Carson, Shayna, Megan, and Cole.

There will be no services at this time.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
