Julian (Jake) David Harman, Sr., 61 of Dugspur, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at the Veterans Medical Center in Salem. Mr. Harman was born in Floyd County, VA to the late Julian C. Harman and Eulala Moles Harman. He is survived by his wife Wanda Worrell Harman of the home; son & daughter-in-law Julian David & Teresa Harman, Jr. of Floyd; step children Kelly Iroler & friend Zakk Nester and Mark Huff all of Hillsville; brother Randle Harman of Floyd; sisters & brothers-in-law Carolyn & Donnie Sutphin of Floyd and Barbara & Buddy Neeley of Sussex, VA; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Bill Goad and Mr. Cecil Wayne Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Henley Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by V.F.W. Post # 1115 of Hillsville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 27, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
