Judy Brinkley Gillespie Fender, 74 of Woodlawn, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.  Mrs. Fender was born in Radford, Virginia to the late James Carroll and Dee Brinkley Gillespie.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by siblings, Gene Gillespie (Vickie) and June Smith (Scottie); and brother-in-law, Mark Vass.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Wayne Fender; son, William Edwards; grandchildren, Dylan Edwards (Alexis) and Dalton Edwards; one great-grandchild; and sisters, Janice Vass and Gina Largen.

A private service will be held at a later date. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
